    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for research, design, development for all vehicle testing requirements at the OLS manufacturing complex, including the test equipment and tooling required to support those test operations. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of transforming the way rockets are tested. We are in search of a Test Manager who will lead a team of engineers and test specialists in vehicle structural and system test operations. This team is chartered with coordinating both proven and cutting-edge aerospace vehicle test processes into an efficient, integrated testing production line. The Test Integration group interfaces directly with the Production Integration, Tank Production, Stage Integration, and Subsystem Integration manufacturing groups. We put a strong emphasis on hands-on technical ability, as our leaders are directly involved with projects and problem-solving, and manage through active engagement with the team. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Working with the design and systems engineers to plan tests of the vehicle subsystems, ensuring the tests are designed to verify the pertinent requirements
    • Participation in gated design and production reviews
    • Working with design engineers to work testing and operability features in during the design phase of new vehicles
    • Developing test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing
    • Supporting development testing to reduce program risk
    • Developing, managing and maintaining test GSE.
    • Writing test procedures and managing procedural redlines and updates during test campaigns
    • Acting as test engineer with overall responsibility for the test, the crew and the procedure
    • Coordinating test crews, support equipment  and vehicle configurations for testing
    • Enforcing safety policies during test planning and operations
    • Troubleshooting issues that come up during testing
    • Monitor cost and schedule of the planning activities, coordinate/interface with potential vendors and procurement of parts, make key design and planning decisions, etc.
    • Interface with Kent on overall status, issues, and test plan/CONOPS.
    • Manage scope of work and headcount. Operate as lead Test Engineer for tests if needed.


    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Materials, or similar. Engineering from an accredited college.
    • Minimum 10 years of applicable Structural and System Testing
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint)
    • Experience with CAD tools
    • Coursework/experience in mechanical design
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


    • Aerospace related education/exposure
    • Knowledge of Mechanical Design principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
    • Fluency in Mechanical modeling and analysis tools, such as I-DEAS, Creo, or similar tools
    • Fundamental understanding of structures and materials
    • Hands-on hardware experience
