    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will help build the foundation of a company that is doing things for which no blueprint exists. This position is responsible for coordinating contractual business requirements from customers through to the supply base. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of program management, procurement, and supplier management with buyers, and engineers.  This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

    Responsibilities

    • Support aerospace commodity managers in arranging complex supply contracts and Master Supply Agreements
    • Serve as primary contact on the procurement team and be the liaison with the Legal group for supplier contracting issues
    • Serve as an interface between procurement team, legal department, and customer contracts
    • Negotiation, administration, and monitoring of procurement contracts and nondisclosure agreements with suppliers
    • Draft unique agreements and correspondence with suppliers
    • Lead and interface directly with procurement personnel, commodities managers, program managers, and engineers at Blue to ensure procurement agreements are designed to best serve and facilitate Blue interests
    • Coordinates with Contracts Administrators to ensure appropriate flow down requirements of customer contracts are communicated and understood within the company and appropriately communicated with suppliers
    • Support compliance of AS9100 and FAR requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5+ years’ experience in supplier contracts management including government contracting
    • Experience working on complex programs; ideally within defense and/or aerospace.
    • Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and spoken
    • Self-starter, ability to work independently, take action and deliver results, exercising high level judgement in the absence of explicit direction
    • Experience supporting U.S. government contracts for commercial items
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

    Desired

    • MBA, JD, or related graduate experience
    • Professional certification from the National Contract Management Association
    • Experience working in an engineering-development organization
