    As part of a unique and highly-skilled team, you’ll participate in the development of space launch vehicles. We are seeking a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills that can thrive in a fast paced environment.  You will be primarily responsible for leading the Program Planning and Controls (PP&C) group within the Blue Engines team, providing guidance and direction for scheduling and planning within a fast-paced group developing human space flight hardware.  In this hands-on and leadership position, you'll work to increase the speed and efficiency of our programs, by supporting the timely delivery, quality and transparency of schedule and financial data to support the Engines Group’s business decisions pro-actively improving forecasting, planning and schedule performance. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

    Responsibilities

    • Primary Roles – Direct the Program Planning and Controls (PP&C) group which provides support to program management in scheduling, resource planning, cost analysis and reporting
      • Develop standardized processes and procedures for the business unit’s
        • Program scheduling within the Integrated Master Schedule,
        • Schedule baseline change control,
        • Performance tracking,
        • Critical path
        • Variance Analysis
        • Schedule performance metrics
        • Demand planning
        • Forecasting
      • Establish business rhythm for providing visibility, status, and regular leading indicator reviews on schedule performance
      • Lead the communication of issues to stakeholders and provide mitigation recommendations
      • Set skills and performance standards for the PP&C department and perform department hiring, staffing planning, and performance reviews.
    • Secondary Role – Budgeting, cost analysis, and strategic planning
      • Working with Finance and other business leadership to establish processes for planning and maintaining integrated cost and schedule
      • Collaborate with Company leadership to develop and implement strategic plans for operations and growth.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or Project Management
    • Experience managing people within scheduling, finance or project controls
    • Broad/deep scheduling and planning skillset; Experience with large project controls, project planning and IMS; Proficiency with resource loaded schedules using Primavera (P6), Open Plan, MS Project, or other software
    • Experience in one or more of the following areas: Budgeting, cost analysis, or financial reporting
    • 10+ years’ experience in Manufacturing or Aerospace
    • Strong computer skills (MS Excel, MS Project, Tableau, Primavera 6 or like type tool)
    • Strong communication skills in technical work environments
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

    • Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager) or Program Management Office (PMO)
    • Earned Value Management (EVM) experience
