    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will manage content development and build Blue Origin’s internal-facing news service/publication. As a dedicated communicator with newsroom experience, you will cover a wide range of activities going on at Blue, sharing in the team’s impact on all aspects of the company and its employees. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Build the publication into a credible source of information for employees.
    • Balance breaking Blue Origin and industry news with longer-term pieces.
    • Tackle a variety of topics including testing activities, launches, engineering and technical lessons learned.
    • Manage content channels, vehicles and rhythm.
    • Set, track and report on KPIs.
    • Develop content and content strategies for change initiatives, communications projects and company events.
    • Distill complex concepts into clear messages for both technical and non-technical readers.
    • Provide copywriting, editing and communications consulting services to groups within Blue.
    • Assist in facilitating communications activities around company events.
    • Design layouts for intranet pages.
    • Work with teams in Kent, West Texas, Cape Canaveral, and Washington, D.C.


    • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field.
    • Commitment to journalistic practices, ethics and integrity of reporting.
    • Newsroom experience reporting on space, aerospace, technology or related topic.
    • Works well under deadlines.
    • AP Style.
    • Proficient in the production and use of multimedia (graphics, videos, still photos.)
    • Works both independently and as part of a team.
    • Able to quickly grasp new ideas and tools.
    • Able to simplify strategy into specific actions with clear accountability.
    • Able to make decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information.
    • High judgment and high energy.
    • A self-starter with passion for the space industry.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum


    • Understands and can apply change management practices.
    • Experience working across multiple regions.
    • Adaptability: being open to change in response to new information, feedback, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations.
    • External focus: Understanding marketplace dynamics, industry trends, and the competitive landscape.
