This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Build and manage the Tube, Orbital Tube Weld Production team, including developing resource plans and profiles, authorizing job descriptions, conducting interviews, making hiring recommendations, assigning tasks, and conduction performance reviews.
    • Manage the assembly, test, modification, and repair of production assemblies in order to guarantee achievement of on time delivery, cost and quality
    • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control
    • Setup new Tube/Orbital Tube Welding production areas, including layouts, tooling and equipment validation, etc.
    • Assist in the transition from development to production, including qualification schedules and first articles
    • Support the installation of fluid lines utilizing Orbital Tube Welding process
    • Responsible for the repair activities that may include various valves, including but limited to ball valves, gate valves, butterfly valves, safety relief valves, etc.
    • Ensure test systems are setup per Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and Qualification Test Procedures (QTPs)
    • Responsible for operational issues found during activation of fluid and mechanical systems including but not limited to hydraulic, high pressure nitrogen, helium , and cryogenic systems
    • Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures
    • Assure continued training and skills development to attract, develop, and retain great people
    • Forecasting and developing recovery plans for constraints critical to vehicle delivery schedule
    • Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, measuring, reassembly and testing of valves and sub-systems
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency
    • Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision


    • Minimum of 20 + years in a direct supervision/leadership position, working on aerospace development programs or production lines heavily involving a range of manufacturing methods and techniques, in both leadership and hands on roles.
    • Minimum of 20 + years with tubular/valve assemblies and integration of man rated launch vehicle systems including forward, tank, aft fluids, and mechanical sub-systems
    • Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
    • Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities
    • Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
    • Must be able to set a high hiring bar while evaluating and hiring top talent
    • Extremely customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
    • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances

    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


    • Broad/deep scheduling and planning skillset
    • Experience with large project controls
    • Project planning and Integrate Master Schedules
    • Proficiency with resource loaded schedules using Primavera (P6), Open Plan, MS Project, or other software
    • Experienced in handling large aerospace components
    • Experienced in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
