  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for qualification, in-process and acceptance test campaigns of actuated and hydraulic spaceflight components and subassemblies. You will share in the overall impact of manufacturing, testing, and delivering hardware for the New Glenn Orbital system. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Own qualification and acceptance test campaigns for mechanical, actuated and/or hydraulic hardware to meet an aggressive on-time delivery goal.
    • Conduct and/or oversee several test campaigns simultaneously to support production schedules.
    • Author and maintain detailed and repeatable test procedures.
    • Coordinate test requirements with mechanical subsystem owners, integration and test engineers, and operations personnel.
    • Define, procure, setup, and maintain test fixtures, test support equipment and data acquisition systems.
    • Be accountable for hardware defects that trace back to manufacturing and testing process control and drive conclusive corrective actions.
    • Identify, procure and drive efficiency gains in all test campaign facets to reduce flow time while maintaining a high safety and successful testing mindset.
    • Conduct in-process verification and final data reviews to ensure successful component qualification and acceptance.
    • Work with existing company initiatives to implement automated data collection and data reduction platforms.
    • Identify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule and technical risks.
    • Participate in Task Readiness Reviews and Job Hazard Assessments.


    • B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field.
    • 3+ years of industry experience.
    • Strong work ethic with a high attention to detail and level of organization.
    • Successfully managed simultaneous project schedules.
    • Strong written, personal, and computer skills. Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at the executive leadership level and on the shop floor.
    • Passion for spaceflight and space exploration.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum


    • 5+ years of applicable industry experience (launch vehicles, satellites, aircraft).
    • Demonstrated technical expertise in designing, operating or testing hydraulic hardware (actuators, servo-valves, etc.).
    • Experience with Environmental Testing (proof, leak, vibration, thermal, etc.) per SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-1540 or MIL-STD-810.
    • Demonstrated familiarity with data analysis, processing and reduction techniques.
    • Experience with data acquisition and automations systems.
    • Experience with Root Cause Analysis and Process Control Monitoring.
