    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the hands-on design, development, and testing of fluid systems and fluid system components for multiple spaceflight vehicles. You must have a passion for solving complex problems and providing practical solutions; act with minimal direction and on your own initiative; and be adaptable as you will work on a variety of applications and systems. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Derive test requirements, write test plans and procedures, design test setups, procure and/or manufacture test fixtures, hands on test execution, data reduction, and data analysis.
    • Perform fluid subsystem and component level development, qualification, and acceptance testing.
    • Participate in the entire design cycle of fluid systems and provide support for failure mode and hazard analysis, thermo-fluid system modeling, component sizing, conceptual design, integration, test and mission support.
    • Troubleshoot, resolve anomalies, and provide feedback to system design engineers.
    • Coordinate between multiple disciplines to ensure successful test completion.


    • Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, aerospace, or equivalent engineering discipline.
    • 3+ years of experience in pressurized system testing, fluid systems data analysis and component development testing.
    • Experience with instrumentation and data acquisition hardware.
    • Experience setting up and executing tests on fluid system components.
    • Experience with technical writing, specifically test plans, procedures, and reports.
    • Working knowledge of fluid components such as valves, regulators, and fittings.
    • Ability and willingness to work in different environments including office, shop floor and/or outdoor test facilities in inclement weather.  
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


    • Experience with pressurized systems greater than 3000 psi. 
    • Experience with launch and space vehicle environmental testing requirements.
    • Experience with cryogenic fluids.
    • Experience with programming in LabVIEW.
    • Familiarity with fluid (Sinda-Fluent) and FEA (ANSYS preferred) analysis tools.
    • Proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro/E and Pro/E Piping module).
