  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will work on specify recurring operations activities for launch vehicles, space craft and launch facility systems for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of requirements, systems trades, interfaces and verification.  Your activities may include effort in risk management, FAA / Regulatory interface, proposals, test planning, technical performance measurement management and configuration and data management. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide status of operational procedure development, tracking key test objectives and safety critical aspects of operations
    • Generate plans for and execute validation activities for processes in simulated and real world environments
    • Create and maintain system test parameters, redline limits, and ensure key items/criteria are incorporated into procedures.
    • Evaluation and development of system engineering nonconformance / waiver documentation as required

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or other technical field
    • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS
    • Good communication skills, ability to work effectively in teams, good execution and coordination skills
    • 8+ years experience in operations planning, test plans/execution, analysis tools, reporting and tracking critical parameters of aerospace hardware
    • Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

    Desired

    • 5+ years experience in areas such as propellants, communication, process control, computer control systems or transportation and handling equipment
    • 5+ years launch operations experience 
    • 7+ years system developing operations and process control/integration/test experience – preferably with aerospace hardware
