  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts on the system definition and design team you will be responsible for the top level electrical integration and architecture for the New Glenn System.  You will be responsible for integrated system definition, performance, and operation; working along with the flight and ground systems electrical system design leads.  This effort includes the definition and maintenance of system level interfaces.  You will also lead design trades for system approaches for EMI/EMC, grounding and bonding, and natural environment design strategies including lightning tolerance.  You will also be responsible for developing verification strategies for test and analysis of system level electrical design requirements.  This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Serve as responsible engineer for system level electrical design studies
    • Author and maintain the electrical systems databook describing system design strategies, requirements decomposition, and margin management
    • Develop design solutions to integrated system trades for grounding, bonding, EMI/EMC, and power systems
    • Maintain system level interface definitions
    • Evaluate and select verification strategies for the selected system design approach
    • Lead system level test and analysis activities for electrical design
    • Integrate technical work performed within the architecture team as well as operations, design teams, and contracted specialty engineering


    • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
    • 10+ years industry experience in aerospace system electrical design
    • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and managing small, creative teams on fast-paced projects
    • Strong systems engineering background.
    • Experience in the development of system engineering products such as requirements, interface control documents, and verification reports
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum


    • 15+ years industry experience in aerospace design
    • Ability to develop analytical models of system design solutions
    • Familiarity with regulatory standards for grounding/bonding, EMI/EMC, lightning, and environmental design
    • Knowledge and experience with test methods for EMI/EMC and lightning strike
    • Experience in ground qualification and acceptance testing of components for natural and induced environments
