  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for the team performing design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data acquisition and controls systems that support the New Glenn Launch Pad for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of data systems and controls for the launch pad. The job role is a managerial role with some software development and electrical system design. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the team in week-to-week task assignments
    • Create, and maintain integrated schedules for all aspects of the work
    • Drive the team towards critical milestones, while ensuring high quality work
    • Participate in system architecture decision making process
    • Accountable for establishing and working to allocated budgets for assigned projects
    • Perform resource planning for current, and future planned work
    • Work closely with New Glenn and other teams within Blue on requirements definitions

    Qualifications

    • BS degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering. Other engineering or science degrees or work history will be considered if experience in above responsibilities is met
    • Experience with requirements creation, verification, and validation
    • Experience working with DO-178C or similar
    • 5+ years of experience performing controls system work
    • 5+ years managerial experience leading a team of engineers and technicians
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

    Desired

    • Experience with launch facilities, spacecraft launch operations, or other high consequence safety critical operations
    • Experience with AutoCAD or similar electrical drawing applications
    • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6
    • Experience with Allan Bradley PLC hardware
