  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will perform the system security engineering activities supporting all phases of systems development in the areas of Cybersecurity / Information Assurance (IA) / system security engineering, and security assessment and authorization (A&A) for the New Glenn launch vehicle system. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of securing the launch vehicle and ground support environments. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicate commitment  and detailed towards safe and repeatable flight. 


    • Function as a technical expert for securing avionics software, networks and hardware
    • Identify and design cryptographic solutions for use in extreme environments using a combination of software and hardware
    • Defining system security requirements, architecture, design, development, evaluation, certification, and accreditation
    • Apply risk management concepts to mitigate vulnerabilities in security architectures
    • Work with government customers in the certification of the New Glenn cybersecurity/information assurance architecture
    • Work with subcontractors and commercial vendors in the selection and evaluation of secure applications, networks, hardware, and software.


    • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 8+ years of systems security experience
    • Encryption Design and Implementation Experience with FIPS approved software and hardware
    • System Level Certification and Accreditation (DIACAP and/or RMF)
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Strong writing and oral presentation skills; ability to write final-version deliverable technical documents and reports.
    • DoD 8570.1M IAM level 2 is required (i.e., CISSP)
    • Active or Previous TS/SCI Clearance with SSBI
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum


    • Experience developing security documentation in support of system security A&A and compliance, including NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI 1200, CNSSI 1253.
    • Experience developing system security engineering products and system security architectures, including development of CONOPS, Cybersecurity, IA requirements, and IA test plans/procedures.
    • Experience with system architecture modeling and use case development.
