  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be involved in design and construction of the New Glenn Orbital Launch Site at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The scope of this role includes being the Construction Management Lead for Launch Site development at Launch Complex 36. This role requires collaboration with internal and external teams to manage and coordinate construction integration and de-confliction.


    Act as the Construction Management Lead

    • Manage all LC-36 and LC-11 site activity as Blue Owner including integration and de-confliction
    • Manage Blue Division Leads scope of work and elevate impacts to cost and schedule to the Program Manager.
    • Primary POC for external agencies, including the 45th Space Wing for construction, permits, waivers, security and site deliveries
    • Execute construction activity given approved budget and schedule milestones, including management of construction change orders
    • Approve pre-con/construction RFIs and submittals
    • Review Approval Letters to authorize work scope until Guarantee Max Price (GMP) contract is established.
    • Construction interface to Turner Program & Project Managers, and Blue Origin System Leads
    • Submit preliminary and construction drawing packages to 45th Space Wing and obtain AF332 and AF103 permits
    • Review and approve AF charging that supports security, escort services, CE reviews and range safety.
    • Close integration with Blue Design Lead and primary on construction impact assessments driven by a requirement change.
    • Final review of procurement packages and bid recommendations
    • Identify and formally document risks and opportunities
    • Final review non-conformances and dispositions or rework while formally communicating cost and schedule impacts




    • BS degree in Engineering or an appropriate field
    • 5+ years of relevant experience in project management or construction management
    • Candidate must be able to lift/carry up to fifty pounds. Must be able to physically climb multiple flights stairs, withstand prolonged standing, and work in adverse weather conditions
    • Exceptional multitasker with a passion for organization and attention to detail
    • A motivated self-starter with a great attitude and able to work independently without significant oversight and direction
    • This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Intermediate
    • Candidate must be able to successfully apply for badging at a government installation
    • Experience with project planning and controls
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
