    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will you will lead a team of technicians in building launch vehicles, space craft and launch facility systems, you’ll verify the cleaning and passivation of integral parts before packaging them for transfer to their final destination.  For this lead position, we seek people are excited to work in a fast paced/high output environment and who are passionate about space and possess a strong desire to continuously learn and improve. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Performing resource projections and personnel assignments to meet demanding schedules.
    • Providing status updates on hardware deliveries to the Manager.
    • Training and ensuring team members’ training records are accurate.
    • Working with engineering team to develop cleaning processes and evaluating equipment, safety, and cost
    • Ensuring all products meet quality standards in accordance with released engineering.
    • Working safely with hazardous chemicals and high pressure.
    • Gross and precision cleaning of complex parts and assemblies
    • Passivation of parts
    • Verify cleanliness via liquid sampling, determining particle size and count using a calibrated microscope. Nonvolatile Residue (NVR) Gravimetric analysis
    • Appropriately package cleaned parts
    • Reviewing design concepts with engineers and provide feedback for ease of handling
    • Review, edit and follow work instructions for CPV lab tasks
    • Comply with Safety Data Sheets for inherent dangers and required PPE
    • Maintain lab equipment in clean, safe, and operational condition
    • Stay current with industry practices to improve the efficiency and reliability of our processes
    • Maintaining stock of consumable items.
    • Ensuring all tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated.
    • Ensuring proper 5S and FOD controls are in place and adhered to.


    • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
    • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and rapidly changing priorities.
    • 7+ years’ experience with laboratory equipment, for example NVR (Rotovap) machines, water baths, densitometer machines, microscopes, particle counters, DI water systems and pH meters
    • 7+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office and other computer software
    • Ability to use standard cleaning tools and strict methodology to repeat routine tests/tasks with high accuracy and validity
    • Strong organization skills
    • Familiarity with pressurized system safety
    • Excellent demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
    • Working with and properly disposing of hazardous waste
    • Ability to document and maintain accurate records, as well as read drawings and prints
    • Ability to work in a team environment with multiple and rapidly changing priorities
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
    Must be physically able to:
    • Climb ladders and stairs, and work in small, restricted areas
    • Lift and carry 25 lbs.
    • Work 2nd shift, as well as weekends and overtime, when necessary


    • 5+ years’ experience in aerospace or a related field
    • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
    • Knowledge of drawing review, scheduling, work order systems, inventory and various issue tracking systems
    • Working knowledge of a variety of fluids including GN2, GHe, hydraulics and cryogenics
    • Experience handling and cleaning various alloys (316 SS, Inco 625, CRES 21-6-9, Monel & various types of aluminum, brass and copper)
    • Experience cleaning tube systems to aerospace (IEST 1246) or medical standards (ASTM-F-Series Documents)
