  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the information database development and coordination and scheduling of Launch Operations for a Human Space Flight program. This mid-level position will be a primary liaison between Blue Origin Launch Operations and the USAF’s 45th Space Wing. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Blue Origin’s Orbital Launch Site and requires strong drive, attention to detail, organization, working long hours, and the ability to multi-task. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Develops and coordinates scheduling for local range requirements to support launch operations including; range safety requirements, tracking/command/control requirements, weather support, transportation of flight hardware, and etc.
    • Coordinates the development and integration of the mission operations team covering facility usage, site entry procedures, and required emergency response procedures. 
    • Develops launch site public access control requirements (road blocks, control points, boating traffic restrictions, airspace coordination) and coordinates with range services. 
    • Coordinates public notification for all required hazardous operations and manages all required air and sea surveillance, and clearing associated with launch or hazardous operations through numerous regulatory agencies. 
    • Acts as liaison between Blue launch vehicle integration operations and Range/USAF focals.  

    Secondary Responsibilities

    • Develops and manages database systems which support the planning and execution of launch site operations, including systems for security, logistics, training, and local policy development. 
    • Develops and manages systems which support the planning and execution of launch site and mission operations certification activities for US Government customers
    • Supports development and release of Mission Operations procedures and manages procedure repository databases.
    • Coordinates subcontractor and vendor activity.


    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree
    • Engineering or physics degree with 4+ years of related experience integrating and/or applying basic regulations, policies, and procedures used in the aerospace industry.
    • Experience with MS Office products, MS Project and/or Primavera software, and database management tools
    • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate effectively with varied groups; obtain accurate information and make sound decisions.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen and capable of acquiring and maintaining a security clearance


    • Experience with commercial space programs & standards, and Launch & Range systems is highly desired.
    • Candidates should be able to work independently without significant oversight and direction.
    • This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.
    • Experience with electronic procedure system development and usage
    • Familiar with Range scheduling and Universal Documentation System (UDS) development
