  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for delivering leadership and management classes, as well as designing and developing ILT, VILT, eLearning. You will divide your time between teaching and courseware development – we can promise it will never be boring!

     

    As our instructional designer/trainer, you will partner with the learning and development team in an agile environment, moving quickly from ideation to delivery. In addition, you will deliver leadership classes, and provide TTTs for engineering and scientific SMEs who will deliver classes in technical topics. This role is approximately 50% instructional designer (including eLearning) and 50% leadership trainer.

    Responsibilities

    • Leads delivery and administration of leadership and management classes.
    • Maintains records of classes in the LMS
    • Leverages social learning platforms and licensed learning platforms to create blended learning offerings.
    • Assists in creation, refinement and implementation of leadership and management classes.
    • Maintains communication to learners through internal social media, learning portal, and email.
    • Creates assessments for learning modules and classes.
    • Monitors the effectiveness of training and development through Kirkpatrick levels 1-4 assessment.
    • Owns L&D metrics related to training and internal certification and provides support on analytics for HR scorecard and other reporting.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor degree in education, organizational development, organizational behavior, or related subject required. Master’s degree preferred.
    • 5+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development with significant concentration in leadership development. 3+ years of management experience. (This role is an individual contributor role, but you will be teaching managers.)
    • Experience creating ILT and VILT learning experiences
    • Experience using Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or Lectora to create eLearning modules.
    • Deep subject matter expertise in leadership theories and principles.
    • Certification in one or more leadership development courses, such as Crucial Conversations, Situational Leadership II, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, etc.
    • Ability to effectively present information to executive management, large groups of employees and/or customers.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
    • Excellent communications with the ability influence and negotiate with individuals at all levels.
    • Optimism and resilience – proven ability to overcome adversity.
    • Cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work well with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels - team player with low-ego.
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder)
