    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for leading the in-process and acceptance test efforts for various spaceflight subassemblies. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of manufacturing, testing, and delivering hardware for the New Glenn Orbital system. This includes owning the planning, scheduling, and on-time execution of hardware tests, and as demand increases beyond the capacity of 1 full time engineer, staffing up a small team to reliably execute this charter. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will required your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Develop and maintain a plan for acceptance testing Cryogenic, Hydraulic, and Avionics hardware to meet an aggressive on-time delivery goal.
    • Author test plans and procedures for New Glenn hardware produced in the Kent Production Facility.
    • Maintain an accurate, real-time list of the hardware that requires testing from the Kent Production facility scope, driving real-time, accurate updates based on a changing product structure.
    • Develop and maintain testing schedules that integrate with manufacturing schedules, and characterize the testing demand in the Environmental Test Lab.
    • Establish a Service Level Agreement between the Environmental Test Lab, the Development Engineering groups and the Manufacturing organization to gain firm commitments on inputs to hardware delivery.
    • Specify and maintain a comprehensive list of test fixtures that will be required for executing New Glenn subassemblies testing.
    • Maintain Capital and Expense budgets to capture the requirements of acceptance testing production hardware.
    • Drive efficiency gains in the Environmental Test Lab to reduce flow time.
    • Identify and invest in equipment and opportunities to make each test setup and execution more efficient.
    • Work with existing company initiatives to implement automated data collection, and automated data reduction platforms.
    • Own the logistics plan for testing hardware, including material movement, queue planning, standard lead time generation, and mitigation planning.
    • Be accountable for defects present in hardware that trace back to testing process control, and drive corrective actions to ensure that they are conclusively addressed.
    • Manage acceptance test takt time allocations, ensuring that bottlenecks are eliminated, and corrective measures are put in place to reduce flow time in a test that is over-committed.



    • B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Materials, Manufacturing, Control Systems, Aerospace Engineering or other relevant field
    • Minimum 10 years of experience.
    • Proven experience and successful track record leading teams, and influencing company-level policy and directin.
    • Proven experience in motivating other departments within your company to commit to a collaborative effort and delivery on an ambiguous problem.
    • Strong written, personal, and computer skills. Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately at the executive leadership level and on the shop floor
    • Must be a US citizen of permanent resident (current Green Card holder).


    • Design engineering experience in product development.
    • Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience in production.
    • Experience launching new products from the design phase into production in a re-existing manufacturing footprint.
    • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma rpocesses and implementation.
    • Experience with process control monitoring and root cause evaluation.
