    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of technical learning professionals, you will use technology and graphical tools to design and create learner-centric, performance-based instructional materials. You will work with a variety of subject matter experts to create and update formal online courses for highly technical subjects. This position will support management of technical training skills loaded in the Learning Management System (LMS) including input and scheduling of technical skills training courses. You should be comfortable collaborating in a fast-paced and often uncertain environment, contributing to innovative solutions, while demonstrating leadership, technical competence, and attention to detail. This position reports to the Safety and Mission Assurance Team and supports Technical Training and Certifications across all Blue Origin sites.  This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Gather course requirements data through needs and gap analyses.
    • Facilitate Accelerated Workshop Improvement sessions with key stakeholders, subject matter experts, and project teams.
    • Create course outlines, lesson plans, storyboards, instructor, and participant materials.
    • Propose and design innovative learning solutions supported by adult learning theory.
    • Ensure that learning deliverables are of highest quality and exceed the needs of the internal learning customer.
    • Provide input into work plan creation, advising on time and resources necessary to create a learning solution.
    • Use Articulate 360 to design and develop engaging, memorable online and mobile learning.
    • Work with the Leadership Team to create a training requirements tool by organization to assist with the management of assigned technical training.
    • Assist with scheduling of technical skills training including input and reporting of LMS data
    • Manage multiple, complex projects with tight deadlines and time-critical deliverables through their entire life cycle
    • Work on projects with a geographically dispersed team


    • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, communication, or related discipline that focuses on learning or 10+ years of design and development of technology-based instructional materials in a technical environment covering a variety of safety and technical skills
    • Familiarity with Aerospace Learning Management Systems (LMS) meeting AS9100 requirements
    • Proficient in Microsoft office applications
    • Expertise with e-learning development applications such as Articulate 360/Captivate including technical skills (torque, bonding etc.) storyboard development
    • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills including presenting
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder)


    • Experience in virtual classroom, mobile, and other learning solutions
    • Experience in Instructor led technical skills or safety course delivery
