  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will work on Launch Control and Electrical Ground Support Equipment for launch vehicles, space craft and launch facility systems for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of architecture, requirements, systems trades, interfaces and verification. Your activities may include effort in risk management, experiment payload integration, FAA / Regulatory interface, proposals, test planning, technical performance measurement management and configuration and data management. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Support subsystem architectural trades
    • Generate and maintain performance specification for electrical ground support equipment and launch control systems
    • Perform electrical / communication system analysis
    • Establish Interfaces between Ground and Flight Elements
    • Support design reviews for electrical subsystems
    • Provide periodic status of Electrical GSE testing documentation development and testing performance metrics
    • Prepare reports from requirements database for senior management review and use by other integrated product teams


    • Good communication skills, ability to work effectively in teams, good execution and coordination skills
    • Ability to lead cross functional teams through architectural and development program phases
    • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical / Computer engineering or other technical field
    • Knowledge of current systems engineering and integration tools and methodologies
    • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS
    • Experience in areas large safety critical control systems
    • Experience in reliability, maintainability and supportability analysis and execution
    • Experience in Electrical interface analysis and test
    • 3+ years experience in developing avionics / ground support / ATE specifications
    • 3+ years experience in reliability, maintainability and supportability analysis and execution of electrical ground support equipment
    • Experience in commissioning of ground support systems for aerospace programs
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


    • 7+ years system development/integration experience – preferably with aerospace systems
    • Experience in verification planning, test plans/execution, analysis tools, reporting and tracking verification activities
    • 5+ years Launch operations / aircraft flight-line experience
