  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will participate in the accounting for development and production for various spaceflight systems.  You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of cost accounting, recording, and managerial accounting.  This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Set up, review, and analyze cost pools for accuracy and proper distribution of labor and  overhead cost to projects
    • Calculate and apply overhead costs/rates as required by generally accepted accounting principles
    • Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor.
    • Coordinate physical inventory counts and investigate variances to resolve issues
    • Provide reporting on overhead cost versus project plan
    • Assist with internal and external audits of project cost
    • Develop process documents and work instructions
    • Prepare and post journal entries as necessary
    • Assist in month end close and balance sheet reconciliations
    • Identify continuous process improvement opportunities
    • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • Minimum 2 years of Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment
    • Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills
    • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
    • Ability to develop and accurately prepare costs analysis reporting
    • Strong computer, written and oral communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


    • CPA a plus
