As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will develop and take ownership of real-time and post data processing applications for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of instrumentation and in-flight data reduction. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.



  • Own the development of data processing algorithms and utilities for aerospace vehicles, including software integration, prototype bring-up and debugging, bug tracking, functional verification, and test support
  • Leading and mentoring other hardware and software development engineers on the team
  • Project Management: Scope, budget and effort estimation for new embedded software projects, WBS creation, risk management, project execution coordination and status reporting
  • Provide engineering expertise in the area of real-time data processing and reduction across multiple hardware platforms
  • Provide as needed embedded software development support for other avionics projects



  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on software development and 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership position
  • 2+ years of experience related to data processing and/or digital signal processing
  • Strong C/C++ development skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder)


  • Experience in fast-paced iterative design environments within the aerospace, consumer electronics, mobile handset, medical devices, or automotive industries
  • Experience developing and testing real-time embedded systems, gaming systems, control systems, device drivers, or mobile devices
  • Experience with real-time and/or safety critical software development
  • Familiarity with sensors and instrumentation including accelerometers, rate gyros, pressure, and temperature sensors
  • Experience with Linux, GNU toolchain, Python, MATLAB/Simulink, real-time operating systems, serial communications, and IP networking
