As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will lead the development of Orbital Launch Sites for Blue Origin’s New Glenn orbital launch vehicle program. This hands-on position involves you in all aspects of Blue Origin’s Orbital Launch Site development and requires leadership, executive communications skills, and a strong drive with a focus on delivering results. Technical rigor, attention to detail, grit to overcome barriers, and the ability to multi-task will be required to succeed in this role. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


  • Lead a cross-functional team in the development, construction, and activation of a multi-million dollar launch complex infrastructure projects.
  • Act as the primary Blue Origin focal point integrating the project with senior US Air Force and FAA regulators.
  • Plan and execute a schedule and budget baseline resulting in meeting launch date and cost commitments.
  • Implement and execute change and risk management programs.
  • Develop strategic plans to assure current and future program needs are addressed.
  • Create and maintain program reporting tools to track cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
  • Plan and execute the outfitting of Blue Origin facilities with owner supplied equipment to support initial operations at Blue’s launch complexes.
  • Integrate with launch vehicle and payload customer teams to assure operational and technical requirements are met and verified.
  • Travel to multiple launch sites and development centers will be required.


  • 15+ years of related experience in the development or operations of space systems including launch vehicles, satellites, or command and control systems in both leadership and hands-on roles.     
  • Experience leading large acquisition or procurement activities greater than $50M total value. Management in a profit and loss environment desired.
  • Substantial knowledge of launch range regulations, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Must be able to evaluate and hire top talent.
  • Background with cryogenic propellants and high pressure gas systems highly desired. 
  • Extremely customer focused with strong communication skills—down and in as well as up and out.
  • A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances.

  • Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it.
  • Exceptional organizational & analytical skills, proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight.
  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in an engineering or technical field or equivalent government/industry experience.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder).


  • Candidates should be able to work independently without significant oversight and direction. Experience with commercial space programs & standards and Launch and Range systems is highly desired.
  • Experience with integration, test, and launch of orbital boosters desired.
  • This position requires demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective decision-making.
