  • Overview

    As part of a small and highly-skilled team, you'll provide computer support to our engineers and staff, co-manage critical information technology infrastructure, and support a company building space vehicles. You must have a passion for solving complex and interesting problems, and be adaptable as you'll work on a variety of systems.
     

    Responsibilities

    • Heavily contribute to helpdesk duties, supporting users in multiple locations via an online ticketing system
    • Identify common concerns in helpdesk and develop self-help documentation
    • Troubleshoot computers, printers, phones, and other devices telephonically, in person, and via phone and email
    • Apply computing diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate and determine root causes, and recommend appropriate solutions
    • Install, configure, deploy, and remove computer hardware, software, and peripherals
    • Image new computers and re-image existing computers
    • Maintain an inventory of all computer hardware
    • Perform general server room duties such as installing/removing/moving servers and storage arrays from server racks, wiring, and clean up
    • Provide support outside of the regular business hours (weekends, holidays, etc.) as required
    • Serve a 1-month ON CALL rotation, being available after hours via phone, 2-3 times a year
    • Travel to our West Texas or Florida Launch Sites on an as-needed basis (2-3 times a year, 3-5 days a trip)

    Qualifications

    Required
    • Minimum of an A.S. degree in information technology or equivalent (certifications)
    • 2+ years of experience working in information technology helpdesk
    • Experience with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Project, and Visio; Adobe products; Antivirus and VPN applications
    • Customer service oriented attitude to support and instruct computer users, most of whom have extensive science and engineering backgrounds, and require efficient resolution of complex problems
    • Knowledge of system imaging technologies, such as Windows Deployment Services and Microsoft SCCM
    • Able to quickly adapt to fast changing priorities and deadlines
    • U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien
