  • Overview

    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for inventorying direct materials and components procured for flight programs, and used in product and process development programs.  You will also receive and store indirect materials (non-production supplies).  To do so, you are a proactive, service-oriented individual with excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills who thrives in a fast paced environment.  This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated committment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Executing daily parts and raw materials stocking activities.  Properly receive and verify items, including logging certifications and inspection paperwork.
    • Working closely with production schedulers and engineers, ensure parts are kitted as specified in Bill of Materials, and according to production/assembly start dates; and identify and resolve any kit discrepancies.
    • Working with manufacturing and engineering personnel, facilitate the kitting, packaging and documentation of materials and work instructions for all subcontract manufacturing work.
    • Performing daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identify root causes of variations.
    • Maintaining stocking areas to accomodate adjusting volumes and storage types as driven by production activity.
    • Developing and maintaining systems and processes for routing and temporary storage of indirect material purchases.
    • Providing back up support for shipping and receiving functions.
    • Identifying opportunities for improvement in stocking and material handling processes.


    • A minimum of 5 years inventory control experience including handling, inventory and inspection of energetic systems, hazardous waste materials, raw metals, and explosives.
    • Experience with Inventory Controls operating in an ERP system.
    • Mathematical skills including calculating percentages, area, circumference, volume, and conversion of Units of Measure and Weights.
    • Analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relavent data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions.
    • Ability to safely drive a forklift and perform elevated work.
    • An attitude of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication.
    • Must be a U.S citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder). 


    • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, medical or military environments.
    • APICS certification or desire to obtain
    • An Associates or Bachelors degree
