    As part of a collaborative team, you will directly support Blue Origin’s future endeavors through skilled management of various configuration items.  You will have the opportunity to provide change control management and guide the development and administering of appropriate standards.  Your ability to perform rapid and agile review and editing of many critical documents and engineering data will support Blue Origin’s commitment to accurate and on-time delivery of important artifacts.  Your enthusiasm to seek opportunities to continuously improve version control, consistency, and management of these items will be infectious.  Every day will be different and exciting, as you engage with  various aspects of configuration control, data management, and discrepancy reporting. Your demonstrated adaptability, attention to detail, and real-time adjustments will be valuable in this fast-paced environment.  


    • Manage configuration item identification
    • Administer the release process and data management of configuration items (track changes, version control, relational linking, etc.)
    • Maintain quality of documentation (consistent format, proper markings, appropriate references, etc.)
    • Coordinate timely release of configuration items
    • Verify compliance to release standards
    • Coordinate change implementation for bill of materials (BOM) management


    • AA/AS or BA/BS in a related technical or liberal arts discipline
    • Familiarity with configuration management principles and practices
    • Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) and/or data management tools
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to work effectively in teams, good execution and coordination skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.


    • Degree emphasis in knowledge management
    • Experience with systems engineering tools such as DOORS or JIRA
    • Experience with Windchill, Creo/ProE, Visio
    • Experience supporting products throughout the life cycle
    • Experience in research and development environments, as well as production.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing best practices
    • Experience in aerospace or aviation
    • Experience in Knowledge Management (data structure, architecture, retention, etc.)
    • Experience with external customer interfacing and data exchange
    • Familiarity with export control (EAR/ITAR) regulations
