    As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will develop and execute corporate messaging, media relations, campaigns, and events for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of communications. As a hands on manager you will relish developing and promoting Blue Origin’s compelling story. In this role you will have the opportunity to relate our message of reusable launch systems, astronaut & payload services, engine development, and advanced concepts for space exploration to multiple audiences in a variety of mediums. Your passion for our vision to enable millions of people to live and work in space will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.


    • Develop and maintain relationships with trade press
    • Respond to and manage media inquiries
    • Pitch stories to the press
    • Write talking points, executive speeches, FAQs, presentations and other content
    • Prepare executives for speaking engagements
    • Contribute ideas to our media strategy across all business lines
    • Create, plan and execute media events and campaigns
    • Represent Blue at public events, manage speaking engagements, and liaise with the media
    • Publish to social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat)
    • Art direct and procure imagery and video for press kits or digital content
    • Analyze and report on impression reports or key media stories
    • Support relations with vendors
    • Assistant producer for webcasts
    • Keep calendars (editorial, press conferences, events etc.) and media lists
    • Execute communications programs in support of events and conferences
    • Ensure media coverage is accurate
    • Work with operations teams in Kent, West Texas, Cape Canaveral, and Washington, D.C.



    • B.A./B.S. degree in communications, marketing, public relations or equivalent  
    • Proven experience in public relations, ideally in aerospace, technology or a related industry
    • Excellent communications skills, including creative writing and verbal
    • Ability to dive deep, working both independently and as part of a team
    • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects
    • High judgment, endless energy, and creativity
    • Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic work environment
    • A self-starter with passion for the industry
    • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (current Green Card holder)



    • Graphic design and/or photography
